Justin C. Lowenthal
Justin is an AV®-Rated California real estate broker-attorney whose practice focuses on complex real estate transactions and high-stakes real property disputes. He has practiced in Davis since 2010 and oversees both Lowenthal APC and Lowenthal Realty Co., providing clients with integrated legal and transactional counsel informed by real-world deal experience. Justin represents property owners, investors, and brokers in sophisticated purchase and sale transactions, seller nondisclosure and fraud claims, broker disputes, easements and appurtenances, quiet title action and related lis pendens issues, partition-avoidance agreements and partition actions. His practice also includes construction and closely related business disputes that arise from or relate to real property ownership, development, and transfer.
Justin is frequently retained in matters involving substantial assets, contested facts, and elevated risk, where early strategic judgment and disciplined litigation positioning are critical. His transactional background informs his litigation work, allowing him to evaluate deals not only as legal abstractions, but as transactions that must ultimately close, unwind, or be enforced. Likewise, his litigation experience informs his transactional practice, particularly in identifying and managing risk before disputes arise.
Justin has been recognized by peers and clients for his legal ability, professionalism, and ethical standards. He has maintained an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell® since 2019, reflecting the highest level of peer recognition, and in 2026 received Martindale-Hubbell’s Platinum Client Champion Award for sustained excellence in client reviews. He was also named to the Northern California Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers, an honor awarded to a small percentage of attorneys in the region.
Justin holds a 10.0 rating on Avvo and has received over 100 published client reviews across multiple platforms. In addition to his legal work, he is a licensed California real estate broker and has represented clients in millions of dollars of residential and commercial transactions.
A lifelong resident of Davis, Justin was born and raised in the community and continues to live and work in Davis with his family.
